I joined POWER for a 30 day trial to see if the gym was for me, and if the team could accommodate the fact I was struggling with a weak lower back. Lots of gyms make out they can help, yet never follow up or seem to genuinely care. But POWER actually care!! The team have been amazing, they have tailored my SGPT sessions to help build strength in my lower back, regularly checked-in by text and in-person to see how my back is and if further modifications are needed. The SGPT’s really do work, as I was sceptical of this. But genuinely everyone is listened to and seen! The classes and the staff are fun too….just check out Tom’s classes 😂🤩!! The staff really do give you the energy you need to feel empowered, especially on those days you don’t think you have it in you. You truly do walk out smiling after a session or class. Best decision I could have made with a gym! …….thank you Erin, Young Sam and Old Sam! You’ve really stood out, and taken the extra mile with me!

What is Small Group Personal Training and how does it work at Power Guiseley?
SGPT is a 45-minute coached session where you train alongside a small group, each following your own programme. You get the structure and attention of a personal trainer with the energy and accountability of a group. Sessions run on the hour, every hour, and you book the slots that suit you.
How many people are in an SGPT session?
A maximum of 6 – the SGPT page currently says six, the Guiseley page says four] members per coach, so you always get hands-on attention and personalised coaching.
How is SGPT different from a normal fitness class in Guiseley?
A class has one routine for everyone. SGPT gives every person in the room their own programme, built around their goals, fitness level and any injuries. The coach is there to teach, correct and progress you, not to lead a choreographed workout.
