Personal Training for Men In Guiseley

At Power Personal Training Gym on Bradford Road in Guiseley, our personal training for men combines tailored coaching, clear structure, and ongoing support to help you build strength, improve fitness, and make lasting progress. Based in LS20 8NH, the gym is just a short walk from Guiseley Railway Station.

If you’re returning to the gym after an extended break, are over 35, or are planning on hitting the gym for the first time, it’s easy to feel like a fitness outsider. And it doesn’t help that many traditional gyms will give you the tour, then leave you to your own devices—without teaching you how to warm up properly or tailoring your fitness to your needs.

But, not at POWER

With a range of personalised men’s fitness programmes and a supportive community of men aged 40 and above, our coaches understand how to get you back into shape and even fitter than you were before.

When you rejoin the gym, or jump in for the first time, it’s only natural to want to put 100% into every session. However, going all-in from the start could lead to long-term injuries and even derail your progress.

To get your training off to the best possible start and deliver safe, sustainable gains, we place a greater emphasis on warm-ups, recovery and your individual strengths and goals.

POWER UP your fitness with our 21-day kickstart programme.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Power’s men’s personal training suitable for men over 40?

Yes. The majority of our male members are 40, 50 or 60-plus, training to build strength, drop weight, sleep better and stay active for the long term. Programmes are written around how the body actually changes with age, not generic ‘men’s gym’ plans.

I haven’t trained for years. Where do I start?

You start with a kickstart consultation. We’ll talk through your history, any aches or injuries, and what you want from training. Your coach then builds a plan that gets you moving safely and progressing week by week. Most men feel stronger and less stiff within a month.

Can I build strength and muscle in my 40s, 50s and 60s?

Yes. Strength training is one of the few things that delivers measurable results at any age. Research shows it reduces the risk of heart disease and diabetes by around 40% and falls by over 30%. Our programmes are designed to build muscle, protect joints and keep you strong for everyday life.

What if I’ve got an old injury or sore back?

That’s the norm, not the exception. Our coaches are trained to work around old sports injuries, back problems and joint issues. We’ll adjust exercises, build the supporting muscles, and progress you carefully. Plenty of our members joined specifically to fix nagging pain.

Will I be training with other men or in mixed groups?

Our SGPT sessions are mixed by default, but the timetable runs hourly so you can pick the slots that suit you. Many of the early morning and lunchtime sessions skew heavily male if that’s what you’re after.

How quickly will I see results from men’s personal training in Guiseley?

Most men notice strength and energy gains in three to four weeks, visible body composition changes in eight to twelve weeks, and big lifestyle shifts (sleep, mood, stamina) inside three months. Consistency, not intensity, is what gets you there.
